James Arnold

Workers’ Comp & Personal Injury | Se Habla Español

James Arnold’s commitment to injured workers began long before he became an attorney.

Growing up on a family farm, he worked alongside laborers whose physically demanding jobs often went unnoticed. Those experiences gave him a firsthand understanding of the challenges many workers face and shaped the way he approaches his legal practice today.

James focuses on workers’ compensation and personal injury cases throughout Idaho. He has argued multiple cases before the Idaho Supreme Court, including a landmark workers’ compensation case that helped secure permanent disability benefits for undocumented workers injured on the job.

Known for his practical approach and dedication to his clients, James works to ensure injured workers understand their rights and have access to the benefits they deserve.

Brad Parkinson (of Counsel)

Social Security Disability

Brad Parkinson believes that one of the most important parts of practicing law is helping people navigate challenging situations with confidence.

What first drew him to the legal profession was the opportunity to solve problems and guide people through complex processes during some of the most stressful times in their lives. Over the years, that commitment has remained at the center of his practice.

Brad understands that many people feel intimidated by the legal system. That’s why he focuses on creating an environment where clients feel comfortable asking questions, sharing concerns, and understanding their options. He believes effective legal representation starts with listening, building trust, and helping clients feel supported every step of the way.

Whether assisting clients with personal injury, disability, or other legal matters, Brad is committed to providing clear guidance and practical solutions tailored to each individual’s situation.

Mike McBride (of Counsel)

Workers' Comp & Personal Injury

Mike McBride is Idaho’s only certified specialist in both personal injury and workers’ compensation practices. This designation required intensive specialized training as well a significant amount of practice in both the courtroom and in Industrial Commission hearings. Mr. McBride graduated from Brigham Young University in 1980 and obtained his Juris Doctorate degree at the University of Idaho in 1982. After law school, he served as a prosecuting attorney in Caldwell, Idaho from 1983–1984, trying criminal cases before juries in Canyon County. In 1984, he returned to Idaho Falls and established his injury claim practice.

His trial work has resulted in a $3 million verdict relating to defective farm equipment in federal district court and multiple trial verdicts exceeding $100,000.00. He brings this experience and insight to injured clients at Petersen, Parkinson & Arnold.
